Mission Systems
The artificial intelligence software business of Mission Group — AI-native software and operational infrastructure for complex service and industrial environments, from central kitchens to manufacturing, hospitality, and aviation.
Mission Systems is the artificial intelligence software business of Mission Group. It develops and deploys AI-native software and operational infrastructure for complex service businesses and industrial environments — central kitchens, manufacturing, hospitality, and aviation — settings where physical operations, people, and software meet, and where the everyday work of running the business is exactly the work that autonomous systems can be made to carry.
What makes it unusual is where it sits. Rather than approaching enterprise AI from the outside, Mission Systems is built inside an operating company — the food-and-beverage group Philipp co-founded and scaled to over 300 employees and more than $40 million in annual revenue. That gives it a practical operating base rather than a purely theoretical view of how these businesses actually run: the messiness of rosters, inventory, kitchens, and service is a starting condition, not an abstraction.
From that base the work generalises. The same agentic systems that can run a central kitchen — operating, learning, and improving over time — extend to the broader class of operationally complex businesses across manufacturing, hospitality, and aviation. This entry documents that business: what it builds, the industries it serves, and what it means to build AI from inside an operating company rather than at arm’s length from one.
